About OTHER THAN SADNESS

Kharla Brillo's debut book of poetry, Other Than Sadness, is a collection of raw and poignant poems taking on the deep subtleties of losing, finding, and loving oneself.

Written within a span of two years, her words will take you to underground pathways and doors wrapped in cobwebs and aching. Where people come in knocking and falling and breaking things. Where you no longer think of your darkness as different from your light, but as a part and a whole of you that was only asking for a way out.
